For the most adventurous among you, only a commission of epic proportions will do. Whatever grand story you have in mind, we can find a way to tell it best. Here are a few examples of what I can create to bring those adventures to life.
Epic Cartographic Illustrations
Whether you have travelled the world, explored the forest that borders your backyard or adventured in faraway fantasy settings, the places you have visited can hold a special place in your heart. Sometimes we get lost, only to find our way again. A map is a good way to find out where you are going but have you ever considered owning a map that keeps track of where you have been?
These illustrations are hand-drawn and carefully inked with a brush, a dip pen and fineliners. Eventually, watercolours are applied to give them a more vibrant look if needed. In case maps aren’t your cup of tea, I am also very fond of creating elaborate illustrative family trees, literally at times.
Another way of remembering important moments or milestones in your life is to create a commemorative label for a specific occasion. I make one-off designs that are tailored to fit specific bottle shapes. Once assembled they can be used as a refillable container or a candle holder. Labels can also be created digitally, to be printed and used for all the beverages offered at your celebration. Each design is unique and will be yours to keep.
Centuries ago, a coat of arms was a simple way of representing one’s family. Since most folk could not read, these symbols were designed to be easily remembered. The crests of old can be compared to today’s company logos, some of them standing the test of time in equal measure.
Hence the following question: why not have your own logo? An image that represents you and/or your family. An artifact is an object shaped by human workmanship, typically an item of cultural or historical interest. It tells a story. It is a tribute to a specific event, person or moment in time. For tabletop players, this can be of course be applied to your adventuring party, character or setting. And if you are looking for the ultimate dice box, look no further!
They are made of durable wood, carefully sculpted, hand-painted and treated to last. Depending on their shapes and sizes, these carvings can be used as coasters or simply as a decorative addition to your coffee table or bookshelf. In the end, it is about creating an object you can relate to and cherish.
